Beam signing event – Ysgol Y Gogarth

Representatives from Ysgol Y Gogarth, Willmott Dixon Construction and EvadX Limited were joined by officials from Conwy County Borough Council and the Welsh Government on the 5th February 2013 to celebrate the completion of the structural frame of the new school.
In welcoming everyone to the event and in particular the children from the school – Amara, Kyle and Will, Simon Butcher, Director of Operations Willmott Dixon Construction, stated that the project is progressing as planned. The new building is due to be handed over early 2014 which will be followed by the demolition of the existing school buildings and landscaping work. The project will be completed and the whole site ready for the start of the new term in September 2014.
He also highlighted the continued positive partnership working between the Welsh Government, Conwy County Borough Council and Willmott Dixon Construction to deliver, on time, an outstanding education facility that will enrich the lives of the pupils.
To mark the event, all those present signed the last beam before it was fixed into position as a permanent record of their participation in the project. Present from EvadX Limited were Simon Adams, Managing Director and Steel Erectors, Glyn Stockin and Gareth Williams.
